Question

Madness deals rort

I am new to this and I got sucked in by the madnessdeals promo> I mistakenly assumed it promotes your music not just adds plays. Can I remove the 5000 listens that is has added because it looks like it has been listened to 5000+ times and only a few likes which would discourage people. I emailed the company but have had no reply :/

SoundCloud should do something about this BS. Lately, every time I upload a new track, I get "likes" from someone, but when I look at their profile, I see the "Get Real Listeners Today" and the Madness Deals URL. Obviously, these are not real people, they're just phishing for victims of whatever scam they're promoting. Yesterday, I posted a new track and within hours, I got three different likes from these assholes. I've reported this to SoundCloud as spam and blocked them, but every time it's a different account. They must have written some kind of script that just watches for new tracks and generates a "like" automatically. SoundCloud should be able to filter out any accounts with their logo, at the very least. Of course they could redesign their logo to get around it, but at least it would slow them down a little.

P.S. I hope someone from SoundCloud actually sees this. There doesn't seem to be any way to contact them directly, which sucks too.

How can you/I REMOVE that crap from our history besides just blocking because as you said a new name pops up with the same BS ... really skews the numbers as on mine its 80% of the listens!!!
The madnessdeals scammers are the most obvious bots - but I also get instant likes from accounts with pictures of young girls and no tracks posted, so I'm assuming those are also bots and I block most of them. Soundcloud has become a bot-infested swamp.

I agree with you completely. I don't need this fake likes in my profile. I want people to listen to it and actually enjoy it. Then they see this sort of shit and think IM the one looking for free likes.
everyone who has the problem with having face likes and plays. just block the shit heads. there is a block you can tick off that will remove listens follows and likes from that account. if there are too many account i guess you're fuck't. i myself just blocked them all
