Hi,

My re-posts are not updating properly. When I un-post it the button un-oranges but the re-post is not remov. Similarly, when I re-post the button oranges but nothing happens. Please fix this immediately before I get a re-post warning or block for trying this over and over.

I have tested a second account and have no problems with the re-post. I used google chrome for both accounts.

Thank you for your quick help and response.
Yeah same thing is happening to me, I usually like to put the songs I listen to the most at the top of my reposts for convenience. Now it just places them back in the same spot they were before, which is pretty annoying to be honest.

It's either bugged or it's SoundCloud being cheap and taking away the ability to put certain songs to the top of your profile so SoundCloud Pro is required to do so. Not really related but it seems that profile pictures appear blurry when you aren't on the persons actual profile.

edit: Just got a notification from SoundCloud basically saying that there are too many actions coming from your account. "We are asking you to slowdown, if an account is performing too many actions it loses that human touch."

I understand this yeah, it allowed me to repost the song I wanted to the top of my profile though. I'll just stop rereposting so frequently I guess :P
Hi,

We're having the same problem and i just got a repost warning for trying to a get a track reposted, because it wasn't working.

Once this is fixed could you please remove the warning, because I am always considerate with my reposting.

Thanks!
Same thing happening to us.

I'm on chrome, reposts are staying where they were last time I reposted them. I also just got a warnign for too many reposts when i was just trying to repost one song, can you please help and also remove the repost warning as I am always considerate with reposting.

Thanks

Seems like the issues has crossed over to all of my Pro accounts this evening and has been present on this channel for at least 4 days. If you can't resolve this problem soon I would like to get a refund for all of my channel pro accounts for this month please.

Thank you for your time.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out about this and for seeking further clarification around this. This feature was actually never meant to work the way it did. After we've had a lot of users writing in complaining about being exposed to the same tracks over and over again, this feature was changed in the way that re-reposting won't push the track to the top of the Stream, but back to the previous place in the Stream.
same here :) tried it on several tracks, one from 1 day ago, one from 15 days ago, one from 6 months ago - and nope, it didnt show them in the stream.

:?:?:?:?:?:?:?:?:?:? seriously what kind of bullshit is this shit right here?!?!?!?!? What is the problem with makin new button there what will re-organize the stream so the ppl who dont want get ''spammed'' with the stream will find the right posts like they have wanted?!?! So ppl who want to repost with the stream could repost again and the ppl who dont like it could change it aswell? seriously, how stupid u ppl are

Hey folks, we're looking at adjustments to this, and also looking at stream filtering like you suggest. Thanks for the patience.

I have a payable account. Is the Reposts problem of SoundCloud
Or the browser?
And how long can it last?
A reply would be very pleasant

Why there was no information
Because of the repost problem
I have tried and was blocked 24 hours
very annoying

Sorry but you guys are jackasses for saying that's "not how this was supposed to work" when it has worked that way for years. Either you are incompetent for letting the bug go on for that long or you are incompetent for fixing an issue this way then lying about why you fixed it. I can't wait for another company to buy and hopefully fix Soundclouds inexperienced and poorly managed coder staff. You should have implemented a week long timeout if you were having problems with spammers instead of a blanket block with this bs explanation. Your ability to lie like that reminds me of companies Dish or Enron. Will you be lowering your prices now that you have removed yet another feature. RIP groups. God knows that nobody was using that feature right?... Jackasses. Very much jackassness jackassery. :@

Hi Mathis
Don't skip over this. I'm sorry for my frustration but I want my voice heard. This anger is not directed at you personally.

Where in the terms an conditions does it describe the re-post system changes? Is is legal to change or remove a critical feature within a paid subscription without notification?

If that's true then why don't all the other re-post tickets from a year ago say that. I myself had a re-post issue resolved on another account and what you just said was never mentioned nor was it ever mentioned on any of the hundreds of re-post tickets you have going back all these years. If this was really a persistent issue I should be able to type "Repost Spamming" in the Soundcloud Help Center search and find a plethora of complaints. I only see one complaint about this. ONE!!! One dude, and it wasn't even replied to. I think this has more to do with publisher money and feed control and less about spamming?

Why? You guys already have spam re-poster protection with a two week cool down, and if a person is following someone that is spamming their feed THEY CAN JUST UNFOLLOW? Or, You guys could always add and do not include in feed option like Facebook?

Or, you could just screw over all labels, DJ, bands and radio stations by removing their ability to promote new bands, touring partners or tracks of the month by doing it this way. What are you guys thinking? One track re-posed 3 times in 2 months is pretty moderate and certainly acceptable. Bands like Panic! At The Disco and Gabrielle Aplin re-re-post once a week depending on who they are touring with. How do you justify including that scenario with the daily spammers? Why not just put an expiration date on this new functionality for re-posting like you do for the spam checker? How do you expect them to get to the audience that wasn't around two weeks ago by burying their re-post like this? For example, I like to re-post at 1pm PST then on the same day at 1am PST. I do this because those 12 hours can mean as much as 20 or more tracks can end up in the feed in those 12 hours. Who is making these decisions?

It's a very backwards and lazy way to "fix" something that has never really a been a problem BUT was also never intended to be this way either as you've said. Your team should be more focused on finding and removing the rampant pornography accounts spamming EVERYONE. That issue is a 1000% greater threat to your site and the community than this re-posting nonsense. :?

Bottom line, if you added a timer so you can only re-re-post as a new feed every 1-2 weeks. I think you would have a solution that accommodates all scenarios.
Why would you not just reduce the re-repost timeout? Unfortunately my pro plan automatically renewed today, I probably would've cancelled it if I realised this would be the case.

I seem to be unable to repost any tracks...Havent been blocked, the repost function just isn't working...
It says 'track has been reposted to your profile' but never actually reposts it onto my profile or the feed..
I also have another account that is also doing the same thing

Hey folks, I responded in another related thread so will paste that here for you:

"Hey Blu and Tim,

Firstly I agree and understand all of your points. We need better ways for artists, especially small ones, to promote themselves... especially since groups has been removed.

I can tell you we're working on things that will help solve that problem and drive people to your tracks (and with much less effort on your side as well).

As far as the reposts situation, we are watching the data and will also be looking at loosening it up a little as time goes on. I personally am also looking at making a better stream structure so that your stuff won't get washed away so quickly.

Lastly, just note that it may seem like you have less power now because of the re-repost policy, but this is actually leveling the playing field in terms of decreasing reposts overall, thus a more likely chance that people will see your stuff the first time you post or your friends repost it. Again, we're doing this based on data, and we'll continue watching it.

Thanks to you both for your feedback and for being fans. I appreciate your time."

Happy Cat - BTW thanks for all of your feedback, and we will indeed look at loosening this up as we get more data!
Same here

Excellent reply Cole! Thank you for looking into the data and for any future adjustments. :$ Now I am happy again, so long as the issue is fixed eventually/soon. Thanks for the fast reply.
